Czech Calibration Station of Current Meters
Czech Calibration Station of Current Meters
Czech Calibration Station of Current Meters (CCSCM) is a calibration laboratory accredited by Czech Accreditation Institute, p.s.c.,
in accordance with the Czech version of EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
The laboratory has no. K 2278. Calibrations of propeller-type current-meters (in accordance with ČSN ISO 2537) and other hydrometric current-meters (electromagnetic and acoustic),
within the ranges listed below is the accredited activity:
- nominal water temperature for calibration is 1–26 °C and
- range of water flow velocity is 0.02–7.00 m/s.
Measured variables are:
- flow velocity v derived from the rate of revolution of the current-meter’s rotating element (with varying pitch k), and
- flow velocity v derived from the velocity directly indicated by the current-meter.

CCSCM provides calibrations in accordance with the Czech versions of International Standards ISO 3455:2021 Hydrometry– Calibration of current-meters in straight open tanks,
respectively ISO 2537:2007 Hydrometry– Rotating-element current-meters.
The subjects to calibration are:
- propeller-type current-meters (current-meters of rotating-element type and without control unit) in accordance with ČSN ISO 2537:2023 (ISO 2537:2007), cable suspended or rod suspended (with sinker weight 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 kg),
- propeller-type current-meters (current-meters of rotating-element type and with control unit) in accordance with ČSN ISO 2537:2023 (ISO 2537:2007),
- electromagnetic / acoustic current-meters (current-meters of stationary-sensor type with control unit).
